February 16, marks National Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles Day, promoted by Rai Radio 2's Caterpillar programme through the ‘M'illumino di meno’ initiative.
Created with the aim of spreading the culture of energy saving and conscious use of resources, the campaign invites citizens, businesses and institutions to take concrete — even symbolic — actions to reduce consumption and promote responsible behaviour. Turning off the light does not mean staying in the dark.
It means choosing to pay attention to how we use energy, the resources we use and the impact we generate.
For Dulevo, participating in this day is part of a broader process, which includes:
• the growth of Bosco Dulevo, a project created to help combat the effects of pollutants emitted by the nearby A1 motorway and improve the environmental quality of the surrounding area through planting activities;
• the forthcoming installation of a photovoltaic system at the production site, with the aim of increasing self-production of electricity and reducing dependence on external sources;
• the promotion of the 2tonnes workshop, an opportunity for discussion and training that involves employees and stakeholders in understanding individual and collective impacts on the climate, with the aim of identifying concrete actions to reduce emissions;
• constant attention to the energy efficiency of industrial processes.
These are concrete actions that are not limited to a single event, but are part of an ongoing and measurable commitment.
On February 16, we will turn off unnecessary lights in our company premises, joining an initiative that highlights the importance of a simple principle: using energy better means designing our future more responsibly!
