Sustainability as a driver of growth and innovation

For Dulevo, sustainability is a strategic driver of growth. Through innovative technologies, such as our water-efficient mechanical suction and filtration system, we are setting new environmental standards in the sector. This commitment reflects our desire to care for the environment and make the world a cleaner and more liveable place. Joining the FAYAT Group has reinforced this vision, consolidating a structured pathway towards decarbonisation, energy efficiency and the creation of shared value in the long term.

Sustainable products

The company develops solutions aimed at reducing environmental impact, including electric sweepers and low-emission models. The mechanical-suction-filtering system reduces water consumption during cleaning operations. Meanwhile, the special D-TEX fabric filters capture some of the finest particles (PM10 and PM2.5), releasing cleaner air back into the environment. The gradual electrification of the range meets the needs of public entities and markets that are increasingly focused on sustainability. As part of this process, the company is also committed to carrying out Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analyses of its products, with the aim of measuring and reducing their environmental impact throughout their entire life cycle.

Dulevo’s commitment

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a shared international framework for tackling the main environmental, social and economic challenges.

Dulevo contributes to this effort by integrating sustainability principles into its industrial activities and product development, in line with the most relevant SDGs.

Environment - Reducing environmental impact and low-emission solutions

Dulevo’s environmental strategy focuses on reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency and driving product innovation.

The company invests in low-emission technologies and systems that reduce its overall environmental footprint. Monitoring its carbon footprint enables the company to plan concrete climate mitigation measures.

DECARBONIZATION

Energy and climate

Since 2022, Dulevo has been systematically monitoring its carbon footprint to guide its efforts to reduce emissions. To put this commitment into practice, an ecological transition plan has been launched, which includes both improving energy efficiency and the electrification of plant equipment.

 

 

The installation of a 950 kWp photovoltaic system at the headquarters will cover approximately 60% of the company’s total energy requirements, contributing to the reduction of emissions and the path towards decarbonisation by 2030.
To complement this initiative, the adoption of a Power Quality system improves efficiency and operational continuity, supporting a more sustainable use of energy.

In collaboration with the KilometroVerdeParma Consorzio, Dulevo has launched a corporate reforestation project called ‘Bosco Dulevo’. Over 1,200 native trees have been planted across an area of 13,000 square metres to create an ecological corridor near the factory. Bosco Dulevo has been awarded PEFC certification.

An irrigation well has been constructed to increase water self-sufficiency for irrigation purposes. The project helps to reduce water withdrawals from the mains supply, promoting a more responsible and sustainable management of water resources.

Social – Safety, training and inclusion

Dulevo places people at the heart of its strategy. The company invests in continuous training, health and safety, and the promotion of an inclusive working environment. Internal dialogue and employee engagement reinforce a culture of shared responsibility.

For Dulevo, health and safety are core values. The company promotes risk prevention, ensures safe working environments and fosters a shared culture of safety, supported by targeted training initiatives.

In collaboration with Bologna Business School, we have launched the “Sustainability Transition” training programme to promote ESG expertise and encourage responsible innovation, supported by further training courses designed to guide the integration of sustainability into decision-making processes.

Dulevo promotes initiatives to support the local area and encourages its staff to get involved in activities of social value. Through initiatives aimed at the local community and corporate volunteering projects, the company fosters active and responsible participation, strengthening its connection with the area in which it operates.

Governance – Ethics, transparency and accountability

Dulevo has adopted a structured governance model, supported by control systems and a Chief Sustainability Officer who integrates ESG issues into the company’s strategies and processes. The Supervisory Body ensures the effective implementation of the 231 Model and risk prevention. To support this, the company has adopted ethical and behavioural tools, including the Code of Ethics, the Codes of Conduct and the Whistleblowing system, to guarantee transparency and accountability in its activities and relationships.

Documents

A key feature of sustainability governance at Dulevo is the network of ESG Ambassadors, who act as links between the company's management and the various operational departments. Their role is to promote a culture of sustainability within the company, gathering feedback, encouraging active participation and ensuring that ESG initiatives are integrated into all business processes.

Dulevo is committed to establishing an effective prevention and control mechanism designed to promote transparency, legality and accountability, and contributes to the creation of a healthy corporate environment based on trust and integrity. The company has adopted a Code of Ethics that sets out principles and rules of conduct, supported by whistleblowing channels for the secure and confidential reporting of any potential violations.

The company has initiated a supplier engagement programme aimed at embedding sustainability principles throughout the value chain. This approach promotes the establishment of more responsible agreements, strengthens the resilience of the supply chain, and contributes progressively to the reduction of Scope 3 emissions.

FAYAT NOW and our commitment to decarbonisation

Dulevo's sustainability strategy fits coherently and synergistically into the broader environmental commitments of the FAYAT Group, which has defined a strategic approach and a clear commitment to decarbonization, involving all Divisions.
FAYAT NOW aims to reduce GHG emissions (Scopes 1, 2, and 3) by 30% by 2030, compared to 2022, across all Group countries and business lines. Dulevo contributes to this goal through energy efficiency measures, product electrification, and the increased use of energy from renewable sources.
